朱老师一直鼓励学生跟组外保持学术交流。除在平时我们会出去参加一些会议以外，读博期间我也跟着她在2010年到香港参加一次HKUST的纳米系列研讨会。每次研讨会HKUST会邀请一个老师和两个学生到香港交流，他们给我们安排的行程非常紧凑（可以看下面的schedule），基本上两天里面我们三个人（朱老师，我和一个师弟李月亮）和HKUST物理系凝聚态的老师们都有深入讨论，收获非常多。那也是我初次和HKUST物理系的老师们进行沟通和交流，我觉得他们（朱老师和HKUST的诸多老师们）每个人都非常出色，认真，严谨，对物理有一种执着。没想到10年过去的今天，我还能经常回到下面照片里面的HKUST MCPF来做实验。
